Nominaciones Emmys 2021: The Crown y The Mandalorian lideran con 24 menciones
Hoy se dieron a conocer las nominaciones a la 73ª edición de los Emmys, dedicados a distinguir lo mejor de la televisión.
The Crown y The Mandalorian empataron con el mayor número de nominaciones con 24 cada una, seguidas por WandaVision (23), The Handmaid’s Tale (21), Saturday Night Live (21), Ted Lasso (20), Lovecraft Country (18), The Queen’s Gambit (18) y Mare of Easttown (16). En cuanto a las productoras, HBO/HBO Max lideró con 130 nominaciones, seguida por Netflix 129, Disney+ con 71 y NBC con 46.
Entre las sorpresas bien recibidas están las nominaciones para Jonathan Majors, Josh O’Connor, Evan Peters, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Jurnee Smollett, Kaley Cuoco y Jason Sudeikis, quienes obtienen esta distinción por primera vez en sus carreras. Mj Rodriguez merece mención especial al ser la primera mujer transgénero en recibir una nominación en una de las categorías principales de actuación.
Entre las sorpresas que dejan en shock están las dos nominaciones para Emily en París, incluyendo mejor serie de comedia. Resulta decepcionante el desaire a Small Axe, la antología magistral de Steve McQueen, la cual solo recibió una nominación en la categoría de mejor fotografía. Tampoco se puede ignorar que todo el elenco de The Underground Railroad quedó fuera de las nominaciones.
