Premios AACTA 2020: Babyteeth y Stateless son lo mejor del entretenimiento australiano
El lunes por la mañana, lunes por la noche en Sídney, Australia, se dieron a conocer a los ganadores de los Premios 2020 de la Academia Australiana de Cine y Televisión (AACTA), ahora presidida por el actor Russell Crowe.
La sección de cine estuvo nominada por Babyteeth de Shannon Murphy, película que ganó nueve premios, incluyendo mejor película, dirección, guion para Rita Kalnejais, y los cuatro galardones de actuación para su elenco principal: Eliza Scanlen, Toby Wallace, Essie Davis y Ben Mendelsohn. Películas como The Invisible Man y True History of the Kelly Gang también figuraron en algunas categorías técnicas.
Por su parte, los premios de televisión estuvieron dominados por Stateless de Emma Freeman. La serie disponible en Netflix se llevó 13 estatuillas, incluyendo mejor miniserie, actriz principal para Yvonne Strahovski, actor principal para Fayssal Bazzi, actriz invitada para Cate Blanchett y dirección para Emma Freeman.
